Born in a Berber village in Southern Morocco, Khalid began his journey into leather craftsmanship at the age of nine, apprenticing with local artisans in Taroudant. Over a decade, he honed his skills, learning diverse techniques that blend art and textile creation. In 2016, Khalid moved to California, where he continued his craft, eventually establishing a workshop at LA&#39;s Original Farmers Market. Known as the &quot;Cobbler of LA,&quot; Khalid has garnered a significant following on social media, sharing his passion for leatherwork and traditional craftsmanship. His unique designs, inspired by Moroccan heritage, include custom sandals, shoes, bags, belts and wallets.
